Curious about repaint

I'll be honest with you they can probably fix the problem for you. I've seen some things painted before that had the right code but didn't turn out right and the guys ended up calling the paint manufacturer to find out what was going on. It may have been something that they just didn't notice. Didn't you say it looks fine in the shade? If so most shops don't have extremely bright lights that mimic the sunlight. I'd at least give them a call and see what they say. It may just be that the particular paint has different size metallic pieces in it.

So 72 hours is a completely safe cushion of time to wait to polish the scratches? I thought the reccomended time was 90 days? The scratches appear to be over the clear, because they look quite defined. It's weird because they are very dense in number but very isolated and not deep. The scratches seem to be very fine, but that could just be because they are under the clear. I am hoping its not UNDER the clear. I will report back and tell you if I can feel anything at all. Can someone explain to me how they could of scratched it in such isolated areas?

BTW; I decided to leave the paintjob alone. The paint itself is very good optically with just the right amount of gloss and shine and it matches the front bumper perfectly so I decided that it was symmetrical. I am sure most body shops around here would of donea similiar job anyway, or messed up something that was minor.
