Critique needed on the 'For Sale' Ad for my Integra

For the comparison to the Vette, I think it was more the sound comparison. But yes, getting into an S2000 is like falling in, because the car is so damn small. But the seating position, IMO, is somewhat high. And I'd really have to believe the sound of a VTEC engine through any exhaust is going to sound closer to an S2000 than a Vette. But I never heard your car, so maybe it does sound like a V8. :)



After I posted, I thought to myself, he might not have driven or ridden in an S2000. So how could you compare.
 
I would also say that you should remove the 0-60 time, especially since you state elsewhere in the ad that the car was never raced, but if someone asks you about the 0-60 time, you would have to tell them how you came to that result....just a suggestion.



I'm sure you'll have no trouble selling the car either way!

Typically when people say "race", they mean competively (IE: street racing, drag racing, Auto X'ing). However, you aren't the first to mention this. I'm going to take it out and add something to the effect of "this car is plenty powerful for most needs and has no problem with passing on the highways". Thanks for your comments.
 
IMO you should change "signify a Corvette" to "resembles a Corvette", and the same with the reference to the EVO (resembles instead of represents). The word similar would work too. Also, the sentence about treating the car like a child and the girlfriend attesting to it seems superfluous. Good luck! It's a very clean ride and I have always liked the look of your car. Very well done mods.
 
Great write up. I think you have a good shot at selling your car on the acura boards and message forums. It is often a catch 22, however, for cars like this.......only a few are out there for sale and only a few buyers are looking for them, and it is difficult to get the timing right.



For the other classifieds you plan on using, I would keep the ad write up simple, and go into detail when people contact you for more info. Pics of the car speak for themselves.



Also, leave a lot of room for negotiation, it is difficult to to get back the money spent on high modded cars, and the used car market right now is really bad. To be honest, unless you can sell it to a fanatic on one of your boards, I bet the person that buys it will be an average joe with little to no appreciation of what he is going to get. Another good way to get the word on the street is listing it on ebay. Even if it doesn't make your reserve at leat you will get an idea of what people are willing to pay.

Yeah, generally speaking mods bring little or no money on resale value. This car is so tastefully done though hopefully some moron doesn't buy it and rag it out. That makes it so hard to part with a car for that reason IMO. I don't want to sell my truck because I don't want to see it a week later transformed into a POS work truck.

BTW, The Porsche 997 C2S will start production in March (got bumped damn it!) and will be in around late April or May.
