I'm in the process of updating my web site and would like to get your suggestions on what i can do to improve. Things have really slowed down for me this month so thought i'd take advantage of this time to tweak my site. Please go easy lol, but be honest. I dont think im allowed to post my web page here so please visit my profile. On average I get around 10 visits a day with 70% of them being new visitors but only one or two inquiries via email or phone. Im thinking about doing a newsletter with coupons or tips and tricks to stay constantly in touch with my customers, is this working for any of you guys out there? Also going to make one of those vimeo videos for my homepage, seen some of your guys videos and boy were they nice.

I think the rates page is a little long.

Side note- I think people put wayyyy too much stuff on their home page. You dont have nearly as much as others I've seen, but maybe something to keep in mind.

Hey! You have a pretty looking site. But I am quite confused about your pricing. On the home page it talks about a "complete package," with pricing. But nowhere else on your site do you mention a package called the "complete package." So, as a user of the site I have no idea what I am getting with the "complete package." I really like the fact that you have CALL TODAY ### smack in their face. Great tactic. Maybe it's just me but I would suggesting changing the button's words (on the middle right of the page from "buy gift certificate" to "buy a gift certificate" or "buy gift certificates".

"Free shuttle service with details over $100???" I can definitely see the point but if you are very good and the word gets around you are going to have clients coming to you from very far away...I have a guy right now who drove 110 miles one way to get to me. It would stink if I had to drive him back. That's alot of money in gas lol! Your prices seem very good, meaning there wouldn't be much of a margin to drive somebody a good distance (keep in mind wear and tear on your vehicle). See how it goes first and then consider these things. Of course, I do not know how far you are willing to drive so I'm just throwing this info out. I would add an about us page as well just to get the user more comfortable with who you are. I hope I helped you out! Please don't hesitate to ask more.

Cheers,

Ciro

Thanks so far guys, ill see how i may be able to shorten down my rates page and what i could get rid of on my homepage. I have been meaning to write an "about us" page so ill be working on that this week. As for the second comment, I had thought about changing it from complete package to "Premium Package" which is what the pricing is for. I just kind of figured for most customers that would be clear as most that call in use that title for interior/exterior details, if they ask whats included then i just tell them its everything in my premium package. I will change that though, you're right.

Yeah...I know what you mean when people call and ask for a full job...most people cannot fathom that a "full job" could take 10,20,30 or even more hours! Definitely just be consistent in the naming conventions of your services throughout the site.

Ill keep that in mind, thanks xfire. I've never had any customer argue in anyway with me about not going beyond my 20 mile radius, in fact for the most part they have a friend follow them to my place if they scheduled a drop off detail. I will be sure to put that radius on my site, any other suggestions guys? Really anything that would bring more traffic in or cause the traffic to inquire about my services would help allot.

ok, so Ill probably just rephrase it to "free shuttle service available," sound good? also is anyone still using vimeo to make a video for their site out of pictures? seemed simple from what allot of you guys were saying on other threads so I went to their site a couple nights ago and ended up not making a video under the free accounts because it said that it is not for commercial use. Is there a way around this? do they really take down your videos if you use it for commercial use?

Is there anymore suggestions for my web page, I'm trying to gather a list of changes this week for my web page guy. Your tips are greatly appreciated!
