Creating Standards

I think a picture would suffice, and there's plenty of them out there.

For example, good beading should look something like this (show picture of beading).

It's all very subjective anyway. Even my own tastes change from time to time. Sometimes I get big fat jellybean sized beading behind my hood scoop, sometimes I get thousands of pinhead sized beads all over the car. I like both. Both are best, neither is worst.

I think what you're asking for is already done.

Here is a question for everyone......

If you get differenet sized beading is that an indicator of durability decreases?

I have viewed several click and brags and people are just throwing out terms like "really adds a level of gloss" The beading "is fantastic". etc.

Maybe this is what the manufactures are banking on, when they sell us a product............their is no standard use of terms???

Maybe product delvopers can shed some light on this.........David, Menzerna, Megs??

cheers,

I guess this gets back to my "undesirable change" standard- if I have tiny beads after applying the wax, and they get larger after a while, I take that as a sign that the wax is degrading.

Heh heh, sorta like the ambiguities surrounding the definition of "polish", and the meaning of "removes swirls" huh?

I never underestimate the willingness of the companies involved to put one over on the consumer, especially if they can do it without what *they* consider blatant deception ( "hey, our definition of [whatever] is perfectly valid"....yeah, well, maybe in *your* mind buddy :hmph: ).
