Love it or leave it, people. Or just sit here and enjoy all the freedoms you have and xxxxx about the process that gave you those freedoms. If you don't like the laws then do something about it. Or are we just "America the brave when we are behind keyboards"?

I tried, but I was in the minority.
That happened with a few on the local level as well.

But, you are correct in several of your comments.

1. DC shouldn't become a political forum. I apologize for my part in that.

2. Posting on a message board after the fact doesn't help much.

3. We do have at least some say in what goes on every 2 and 4 years.

4. If we don't vote, then we really have only ourselves to blame for what happens.

5. If we do vote, then we can blame someone else. :whistling

I think that people are looking this bill in the wrong way, it is more of an extension of the telephone harassment bill.

Buried deep in the new law is Sec. 113, an innocuously titled bit called "Preventing Cyberstalking." It rewrites existing telephone harassment law to prohibit anyone from using the Internet "without disclosing his identity and with intent to annoy."

If you check most forums their rules say that stalking, harassment, or threats are not permitted. Some even go as far saying that they will contact the ISP and/or authorities.

This isn't a bill that was designed to have someone arrested because you didn't like what was said, it's there because some people will go out of their way to make other peoples lives misserable.

I'm not wild about the wording, but thats the way it is.
I'm not too sure how enforceable it will be either.
