I was talkin with my buddy, we were talkin about the best ways to keep our trucks looking good. I told him that once I have mine protected all I have to do is wash mine every 5 or 6 days, dry it, and use a little quick detailer. He acted like washing your truck once a week was a total novelty, he said "dang you're gonna wash the clear coat clean off that thing." By the by, he uses Dawn on his paint and greased lighting on his wheels, so that should tell you enough.

Haha yea. Dawn is ok to use like once a year MAYBE to strip the paint of waxes and stuff, but that's only if you aren't claying and polishing the car, which gets rid of the old stuff anyways. I'm sure his paint looks real good.

All my neighbors have given up talking about me...they are now asking me to clean there cars....thank god to I've run out of things to clean on mine....LOL

basically stripps all the wax off the clearcoat :bawling:

And once the wax is all gone, it'll start doing nasty things to the paint itself. Dawn isn't pH balanced like a good car wash soap can be. The alkalinity of Dawn is very harmful to automotive paint if it's used frequently.
