Craftsman 1000 watt tripod worklight ( Includes FREE hand held worklight )

DAMNITTTT there all sold out. I made an order it came out to 21.39 as well. I paid it and 10 minutes later I got an email saying sorry We are all out of stock of this item everywhere and we gave you a full refund.

I been looking for a good deal on these lights for 2 weeks now and the cheapest I found was 30 dollars for these at big lots

EDIT: Found one store left that had 7 of these left. When I went to pick it up there was already people there picking these up as well. I wouldnt be surprised if I got the very last one.

SWEET!

They always seem to have this deal going on. I picked one up about a year ago, it worked for a week and then stopped working. I just brought it back to the store and picked up a different one. 2 weeks later, that one stopped working. I checked all the wiring and changed the bulb and no go. So now my dual head tripod light only has one light that works. :( Id skip it if i were you.

hmmm so far 2 days and going strong for me.. Also Craftsman is a well known brand not some generic brand either so I cant imagine why you had so many problems.. Some people just get all the luck.

I have these lights. Please do not be overly impressed by the Craftsman name on these. I'll just tell you flat out: these are of very poor quality. They are incredibly unstable. The way the lights connect to the tripod are ridiculous in terms of how loose they are. Also, the lens covers on mine are already turning yellow which reduces the light output.

I'm not saying these lights aren't worth it at this price. But I am saying that you shouldn't have very high expectations at this price either.

I was going to go pick one up today but they are no longer on sale :(

Trust me Dwayne, it isn't like you are missing out on a fantastic product. Yes, they are worth it at the sale price, but over time I don't think you would be particularly happy with these lights.

....I completely agree with Rob on this one. I actually had one of the plastic hinges on the leg break when accidentally my foot tangled on it while detailing my old car (and I didn't contact it very hard). The lights came crashing down and contacted the side of the door. Luckily, most of the damage was transfer and the scratches were relatively easy to remove (no dent). Anyhow, I would certainly pass on this deal and just find a setup that is more robust.

I still use the lights since they are contained in their own detachable module. As far as yellowing of the glass lenses, I haven't had any issues after about 3 years of use but the metal bands that hold the housings to the framework are a joke (thin and easily bendable).

Yes, those metal bands are ridiculous. Just not a high quality product. Craftsman doesn't mean what it used to.

My tripod broke this year after about a year of use. Can't adjust the height up or down.

So if not the Crafstman route, can someone recommend where to get a decent halogen light set up??

My bro in law has one, I see no real problems with it. It's not like I really need a new one as the one I have now works just fine. I have had it for years and have yet needed to replace a bulb.
