Craftman buffer any good (specs inside)

I found a 9" Craftman Buffer/Polisher system at my brother's yesterday and was wondering if it would be good enough for using Meguiars #2 Fine Cut and AIO. It runs 3100 RPM @ 120V. 65 AMPS. 2400 Oscillations per minute.

double check the specs. Can't possibly be 65 amps. Perhaps it is 0.65 amps? If so, at 120V that is only 78 watts, less than 1/10 HP. It might be enough to apply wax, but it isn't enough to do any swirl removal or deep cleaning.

I agree with carguy, recheck the specs. There is no way it can be 3100RPM and 2400 Oscillations per minute, that is two different things!

craftsman stuff sux. I have theri buffer and i am in teh market for a dewalt now. My dad thought it would be a nice gift.

I was in sears trying to get new bonets for it, picked one up and was putting the bonet on it. I accidently droped the buffer upside down, and it bounced back up to about my belly button!!

How much do the dewalts cost?
