Couple of quick snapshots...

These are just a few pics I snapped sometime last year after detailing our 1992 735il with Malco Rejuvinator and Malco Flash wax. Needless to say this look lasted for about 2 weeks, but it was pretty nice for that time :)...

It looks awesome and it is a 1992 too! I think it looks better than some new ones.

I use to not like BMWs but am starting to like them. I wouldn't mind getting one like you have.

Thanks guys! I was just shooting pics for the sake of testing out a digital camera I had at the time, an Olympus E-100RS.

Accumulator -- Thanks for the compliments...really...they're just snapshots!

Roderigo -- Yeah I noticed that after I uploaded the pics. Shows poor lens construction in a sense, but it's also a neat touch to have sometimes. People always ask me if that was photoshopped in there...nope! :)

AMP -- Yep, gotta love the 7ers. I wish that shine would have lasted longer but oh well. With it being black and all the swirl marks were back in no time (I don't wash it, so I can only "fix" them when I have time)...since that was probably near on a year ago, it's VERY much due for a good day of 3M/Porter Cable beauty spa treatment...oh if only I weren't so busy!

Intel -- Thanks! I personally like the older ones a little more. If I had my choice I'd definitely keep this one. Not to mention it's had a new engine in the last 10,000 miles. It's at just over 208,000 right now...and still going strong! You can find one like ours for probably $10,000 in nearly perfect condition...if you want a CONCOURS example, though, expect to pay $20,000.

Thanks again guys. Expect some killer shots of my 1989 325i in a few weeks here. I've spent all week working on it and have a few days of work left -- San Diego BMW Club Clean Car Contest is coming up, yanno? At the moment I'm just taking a break from working on it down in the garage -- all of the door/hood/trunk seals are off and I've cleaned the areas that they cover. They're ready for Klasse!

Lookin' good, Ben! :up I notice the tires are really shiny. Is that the look you're after? I've become fond of the satin/matte finish for my older cars ... but that's just me. Other folks here have good ideas for satin-finish tires.

Lordy! That San Diego backdrop makes for some gorgeous pix!!!

Lynn -- Most definitely can't complain about the weather. It rained yesterday though...dunno whats up with that! Us Southern Californians aren't used to the rain and all -- saw too many wrecked cars on the roads, including a few Bimmers :(.

That shine was using Turtle Wax Formula 2001 Tire Gel in the green bottle. It wasn't necessarily what I was after, and now that I look back at the pics it's downright gaudy...but it worked at the time :).

I currently use Eagle 1 Tire Shine. I'm happy with how it dries to a nice satin...but it does stain tires pretty well...

Nice looking car! :bigups

My mom used to drive a '94 740 with the sport package... and man did it move for such a big heavy beast. They really are great cars and they will last forever if you take care of them.

Awesome detail job too.

Cody -- Yep, it moves. I like my 325i quite a bit, but the 7 isn't slow at all, either. I mean, there isn't quite any comparision whatsoever, but I don't feel BAD when I have to drive the 7er.

It's really nice to see the looks on people's faces when you're on a two-lane highway and you pull out to pass someone who's already doing 90. They can't believe such a big car has legs like that.

Not that I ever exceed the speed limits, of course ;).

Usually, I despise silicone oil tires. They remind me of those 10-minute "butcher" details. I must admit, however, that this 7-series detail does look pretty good, even with the bling-bling tires. With some more practice, experience, and research, you'll eventually get to be a master detailer in no time.

Be sure to check out our Concours area of the forum. There is so much to learn and so much to be picky about! Good luck!
