Couldn't wait . . . .

I couldn't wait any longer to detail my Ranger!

I received alot of new detailing products and toys for christmas and my birthday and been itching to used them. But the weather here in CT has been cold and snowing.

Yesterday I decided I am going to start my spring detail early.

It was cold about 15 degrees and windy so I had use the car wash first. Then I put it in my garage (its heated) did the dawn wash via bucket wash method. Clayed and dawn wash again.

I will be polishing today with my PC and some 3M Finesse-It Machine Polish or 3M Perfect-It Fine Cut. I have some war marks from this lovely weather and road conditions I have here. I now also a proud owner of a Rotary too if needed. I will keep polishing until perfect, all marks removed. I am also staying on the 3M side because I don't want any fillers. I want to remove the marks not cover them up.

Then I am doing the Klasse route this time too. 2xAIO and 3xSG maybe four?

And of course top it with some P21S!!!! :xyxthumbs

The Ranger will remain in the garage until completed, about week or so. I have a ride to work this week. :D

I can't wait this is going to be fun!!!!!!!! :bounce

Have fun and enjoy! I wish this weather would break. The last couple of winters I was not particularly interested in detailing and had all sorts of nice weather. Now that I want to play with the cars--I get cold, cold, rain, snow, cold, etc.

Please God, give me a nice sunny 60 degree day! I promise not to... and not to.... and not to....:)

AAAHHHHRRRGGG!

I'm SO jealous- savour every moment, for those of us stuck in a miserable deep-freeze.

Enjoy, and post some pics!

Can't blame you for wanting to get a head start, but I noticed that you are planning 2 applications of the AIO. With it's cleaners/"abrasives", I would think that would be sort of redundant as the second application would remove the first.

Just a thought....:nixweiss

Yeah 2 coats of AIO is probally overkill but I more or less doing that to make sure to cover the entire truck evenly as per jimwh Klasse Instructions.

I am in no hurry to finish this project, so second coats and extra steps just add to the enjoyment. :D

The weather and road conditions are going to be crap around my area for the next month or so anyways. :(

Yeah, I know what you mean about the weather and roads, I only live about 30 minutes from Danbury. I've been living the same miserable Winter. :( Haven't had the Vette out since Nov. of last year. Think Spring....:)

Green Monster,

I know exactly what you mean about the weather (also from CT).

I purchased a PC about a month ago and have been reading and searching this forum(which is great) for a few weeks now as I try to upgrade my detailing skill. I just received my first order from CMA. Going to try the Blackfire routine. Can't wait to get started with the spring cleaning.

Anyway - good luck with the Ranger - hope you post some pictures.
