could this be true? no waxing or swrils

hey all. Ok I have a buddy that just bought a brand new Civic SI bright red. and i asked him if he had waxed it yet. He told me that the Honda dealership threw in a paint package that incluced them spraying it with something that would protect the paint for 5 years and it wouldnt swril or need waxing. i was just kinda like huh.... :werd: cus i have never heard of anything like that. have any of you?
 
I think it a scam also... I just picked up a civic lx and they offer me the same package. IS the package some thing like a rust proofing thing, the sealant package, and the seat stain proof coating for 1k. and then the they knock the price down to 600 after.
 
The price offsets the cost of the warrenty work that the dealer does, but I don't think the product is any better than wax. Tell your buddy to get with you and put some real polish and wax on the thing. :waxing:
