Well, today i noticed something stuck on to my rear spoiler, it was this tree sap w/ what looked like sesame seeds. i dont knwo what that is. this was earlier this morning, i said wtvr and left it on becaue id dint' want to pick at it and was planning to wash the car later today, when teh sun was down adn there was shade. so here comes the wash time and i dry the whole car and notice that it acctually etched my paint. it was on there for less than 15 hours tops and it has already etched my paint? i used paint cleaner (megs step 1) on it thinking it woudl definately take it off, but no luck. is this possible?



what is this sesame seed type black sap that dropped on my car and etched the paint. i'm very bummed out. this will just speed up my purchasing process for a new PC
 
i tried teh claybar. i forgot to mention that. it looks as if it is indeed etched. shoudl i try the claybar on it longer?
 
If it had seeds... it wasn't tree sap. It was bird crap.



Bird crap is highly acidic. 15 hours in the sun baked it on and etched the paint.
 
but it was huge. it was black and it wasn't the look of bird doo doo. it was the size of about a quarter. what bird craps that much?

The folks here are right, chances are it's just good old fashioned bird poop. Clay bar, polish, scrub away..........
 
well, i dont have a porter cable just yet but i'm planning to buy one very soon. i can use somethign like scratch x for now probably, right?
