Cotton Towels - Are these any good?

Hi there



Being stuck in the UK I can't find any 100% american cotton terry towels.



What I can find are 100% egyptian cotton towels which feel to me to be super-soft and very plush and cost about $30 equivalent for a large-ish bath towel.



Do you think these will be safe for use on paint, or is there something magical about american cotton that makes it particularly suited for automobile paint.

The only thing special about 100% american cotton is that it's grown here, do the burn test on the Egyptian towels. I use microfiber myself, just got my shipment from Ranney @ pakshak.com today, awesome quality, price and customer service. It only took 3 days from Hawaii to Ohio, amazing.

One big reason certain cotton towels are recommended is that their quality is well established. Some inexpensive brands cut corners on quality so its best to avoid them.



If you have available high quality, 100% cotton terry towels, I am sure they will work quite well regardless of where they are made.

Egyptian cotton = Pima cotton = Supima cotton



The reason why American towels are recommended is because they are most likely truly cotton if they say so. It doesn't really matterwhere the cotton plant grew up.
