Cotton Squares: maybe there's a use for these!

Has anyone seen those cotton applicators that you can buy from the drug store that are usually used for makeup or applying facial medicine? They come with maybe 200 or 300 applicators per package and they're made of cotton?

Maybe there's a use for them. They're small, they're disposable, and I tried rubbing a pad against a CD and no visible scratches came to my sight.

I just came up with the idea because I was wondering what to use to detail a small die cast model viper. :D

Same stuff as Q-Tips, they should work great on the interior where there's plenty of small crevices like weather stripping and radio/climate control modules where cotton swabs would take a while longer and be more tedious. :up

They do lint like mad, I use those very long Q-Tips and gauze. I swipe them from my Dr. every once in a while :)

I strip a piece of gauze and wrap it around the cotton tip of the Q-Tip, works great for reaching those places your fingers can't!

Be careful with the edges though. I did a burn test on one once and I think it didn't pass. I think it's the centers of these that holds the cotton together.
