Costco MF?

I have relegated my Costco MF's to door jamb and engine bay cleaning. They lint too much on glass as has been mentioned previously.

I use a new one everytime I take off wax/sealants. After washing them, I use them for other purposes.

I do the same.

That's actually a very good idea.

I used a brand new one around the house today, and it definitely felt soft enough to use on paint....but I know it doesn't stay that way after washing.

I have been using the bright yellow ones for years. I agree with a lot of what has been said here, and basically stress that 'they have their purpose'.

Some points (many already mentioned):

1. They leave lint on glass (and probably everything else, but its most noticeable on glass)

2. If you are going to use them on paint, use new ones only and washed ones on other surfaces, unless we're talking white paint or a non-fussy car owner.

3. They are great 'general purpose' cloths.

4. I don't recommend them for fussy owners/customers with dark paint. I'd rather use a premium microfiber. There isn't much in the way of padding

5. Very inexpensive. Almost disposable at about 45 cents each.

6. Rip off the tags. If the tag gets between the microfiber and the paint and you push with decent force, marring may occur.

7. They get a little stiff over time, increasing the risk of scratching / marring.

Just one of many tools in the microfiber arsenal...
