Worked on the vette again today, took yesterday off to drive it. I had never even drove one before I bought this car, so I had nothing to compare it to. But who cares!

This thing is a rocket ship. It's a pavement oblivirator. It is more fun to drive than you can imagine. And the weather has been absolutely perfect!!!

I have only let my wife drive it (other than me) and she is a very good driver. Sedate, but good. It knows that when the #1 key fob gets pressed, it's time to rock and roll. #2 gets pressed, and it's time to go to Sunday school (he he).

The vette's looking great, and I just want to say thanks to all the good people here who have, in their own way, provided me with timely advice. If it wasn't for me finding this site I would have done OK making the car look nice but instead it is darn near perfect. And I owe it to all of you. Thanks a million!!!!

Me driving the vette: :D

The two smilys pretty much sum it up. Grinning like an idiot when driving:D , put on the cool face for the "femaninas" Nice car man:up

I saw this absoultely stunning yellow 'vette come down the street today while I was out walking the dogs. Even though today feels like late fall does here in New England, the sun was out, the top was down and the tunes were cranking. The driver of the vette had a big :D on his face, the babe in the right seat was eye candy :bounce, and the smilie symbols that Brad4ord posted ( :D  :up ) were definitley apropo for this close encounter of the 'vette kind!

The Corvette is just a terrific car ! When I bought my M5, BMW offered a driving school and it was well worth it ( I suppose they don't want you killing yourself). Although I considered myself a pretty good driver already what I found invaluable was having the chance to push the car to it's limits and beyond. I ended up spinning more than once and really came to understand the limits of the car. Better to find those limits on a track than on the street. My hardy recommendation, take a driving school with your car or indentical ones.

Besides, it's so much fun !

A word of warning for the new Corvette owner. Several months ago, I attended a local "show and shine" Corvette gathering of about 30 'vettes. ALL of the C4 and C5 Corvette's had terrible leather wear, especially on the driver's side bolster. I was appalled that even the low mileage "concours" examples had cracking, pigment loss and abrasions on the leather. Really unacceptable in a >$40k car, in my opinion.

Otherwise, they're beautiful cars.

my mom's monte carlo is torch red, for that year, it was the only other GM car to come in that color besides the vette.

I just sit behind the wheel and pretend :D

ALright Cowboy! Cowboy Up! I'm sure you've worked hard for it. Congrats! Lets take that to Montana hunting this fall, sure to get a few looks! ;)

I wanted one but the interior was not up to snuff, even the new C5's looked a little worn after only a year or so. The carpet was
bad and most interior plastic looked like the regular cheap american stuff, which put me off. I will still pick up a C4 or C5 one day though, just for the engine.

A vette is kind of like a work in progress. There are tradeoffs in choosing a sport's car. The interior isn't too bad, though. I suspect the leather problem can be mitigated by proper dressing and care getting in and out. But the interior is GM made, dudes.

All things considered, I love the car the way it is. My wife hasn't left me yet and my leather is a little worn. But I still have plenty of get up and go! :up

As I'm watching the Rolex 24 race at Daytona and following the BMW M6 teams I notice one of those cars lists Corsa Car Products as the primary sponsor. I've never heard of them and wondered if anyone here has heard of that name. I am aware of Corsa exhaust systems etc. but CCCP is listed as providing polishes and sealants (?). A Google search didn't yield much info. Just curious about that name.

that's why you don't use google...they suck LOL yahoo had their site come up corsacarcare . Com it's got an "about us" page and their product page. This is the first I'm hearing about them though so can't help

Thanks mobilejay! Sure enough Google was useless and Yahoo found it as the second from the top. Oh, and guess who was the FIRST website hit listed? Good 'ole Proper Auto Care!!! FTW! I typed in Corsa Car Care by the way and PAC was listed before them. Now that's TRUMP!

Seems to be a company founded by 2 italian brothers and they don't have much for product I can see from their website. The brothers are into racing so the sponsorship makes sense. It satisfied my curiosity though as I've never heard of them.

I almost put down the Corsican Brothers movie with Cheech & Chong.....I need to go to bed.................:out:

marble company is corsa car care

I saw this and had the same question and came across this thread so I figured Id register and share what I found out.

This is a marble sealing company trying to sell car care products since november 2009!? Check out the bottom of this page miraclesealants dot com

sounds weird to me.

sounds weird to me.

Why weird? Many companies start out in one area of expertise, and branch out into others. Sony 1960s...transistor radio....look at them now. Sometimes the old wax companies that have been around for years need a little competition. Perhaps these new folks have a better product, a product for 2010, and not "your Father's wax" mentality.

yes i have heard of them for quite a few times now. and i hear they always do a good job. encountered them before when i was looking for car care products of my own. but there are also others that you can use that are great as well.
