Convertible window replacement

I need to replace the plastic window on my M3. Does anyone know of a shop near Harrisburg, PA that can do this? It does not need sewn. It is the zipper kind and too hard to tackle myself. Thanks.

maybe ask on the regional forum on themforum or m3forum ? Might get a better response since others w/ an m3 might have been through that already

correct me if I am wrong but don't you just

put the top half way down and zip the old one

out then zip the new one in?

I thought the whole reason for the zipper was to make it easy to replace

The zipper on the BMW is a bear to get started and then making sure the plastic is aligned properly. It's not as easy as it appears to be and really needs to be done with 2 people (and I'm 1 short of 2).

I'm in central PA (Harrisburg). I would drive out to Philly if you wouldn't mind helping out a fellow autopian. I'm searching for a replacement window. How about in June?

I'm on bimmerforums and have some forum friends in the area (done brakes and other maintenance with them) but no takers yet. That's why I was looking for a local shop. Besides, who better to ask about this than a detailers group.

that should work for me

P.M. me when when you figure out the details

We did one on my firends old BMW. It was easy to do but a PITA to get the zipper alligned. Any trim shop should be able to this for you though.
