Constant battle with hazing streaks on hood...

I just recently 3M SMR'ed and Blitz'ed my '01 GTI and in the shade, I noticed bad haze streaks on the hood in a vertical pattern. I was trying to think of what I did wrong when I applied the SMR. I washed and used the SMR again last night and made sure that all of the product had dissolved using the PC and then applied one coat of Blitz and now today it looked really good today, but the evening came and the haze re-appeared. The weather has been fairly humid here the last couple days and maybe that has something to do with it? Please help a brotha out here  :nixweiss

I think you've discovered your own problem. Sounds to me like its the humidity. I had the same problem recently when using Pinnacle Souveran.

Try misting a little water - distilled water would be best - and see if that doesn't remove the haze. Sometimes you just have to be patient and let the wax cure. Sorry, I wish there was a better way. But don't freak, it'll be OK.

Yeah, I've been getting streaks on my hood with just about anything I put on it from the humidity. I used some QS and it took care of most of the streaks from the Clearkote Carnauba.

Looks like I had the same problem last week, after using #9, #7 and #26 especially on the trunk lid when I was waxing the car I saw this film on it, waxed again then it disappeared but a little later it was back. Washed it today but that didn't remove it, the paint looked dull almost everywhere so used another carnauba wax and now it looks much better, streaks seem to be gone now and shine is much deeper and wetter.

Wondering what I did wrong last week:o
