congratulations to UDM-RD3.02-CCS orange pad

It took me about 16 hours to correct 90% this really hard paint of Audi A4.

after washing and claying i tried everything i have to remove some deep scratches..

90% are gone but i thing we have to congratulate my UDM for this...

so the process was

6-7 passes with RD3.02 on CCS orange pad

1-2 passes with Megs #80 on 8006 pad

wiped with IPA

Danase sealant X 1

Megs Gold Class Liquid Wax X 2

they are some cheap halogen from local market.i don't even remember the name..

do you want me to make a search about the cost of it and if i can send it to you??
 
Mine is almost exactly like that lol. I find mine not being high enough for me to do hoods etc. You can get it at Sears or Home Depot if they are around you. Mine costed like 20$

16hrs is a long time, on jobs like this a Rotary really helps reduce the amount of time.

Great job. I have not purchased a rotary and look forward to experimenting as well. I've done enough of these jobs with the PC...though the UDM is better and it is painfully long!



I wonder though....why is the 4 backwards?

The trunk have been repainted (badly,full of orange peal) and the painter put it from the other side :laugh:
 
Did I here Meg's Gold Class wax. I used to love this stuff. It is funny because today I was going through all of my detail supplies and came across a old bottle of this stuff. For a otc product it really does give off a good look. Just don't get any on the trim.



The car looks great.



18 hrs with the UDM. Now you have two hrs left before it burns up. Just joking everyone, just joking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it is amazing how UDM can work so many hours..it wasn't my first long detail and not the last for sure..i detailed yesterday an CLK200 COMPRESSOR about 10 hours with UDM.i will post some pics soon.
 
Holy crap, you did 16 hours with a UDM.. Wow... Time for a rotary I guess (so much for the 90 percent of the ability of a rotary crap).



Amazing job man, that is serious dedication! Hell if you move to Florida and need a job, let me know. We need people with your dedication.

Very nice work, for that amount of time spent you should definately invest in a rotary.



Then you'll be getting it 100% perfect, charge more and take less time and have happier clients.....:hifive:

I remember the first time I used a PC on my wifes BMW 740. I think I had 14 hours into that car over 3 days. No SIP back then, just IP and FPII.
