Concrete resurfacing?

The concrete floor in my garage has several marks from where salt has caused little craters in the floor. As part of my garage project, I would like to resurface it and coat the floor in UCoat-it.

Do the Quickcrete type concrete resurfacing products work well enought hold up to a garage situation?

No they don't. From what I have seen they will just end up crackign and crumbling. They are more of a temp fix. You don't want a temp fix and then pay to U-coat it and then both look like crap after a while. Maybe you could get it professionaly done with a warranty or something.

Who would have ever though this place existed. Hope you can find your answer here.

You would not believe how much information and knowledge there is involving concrete. I had to take a week long class to get registered with the state as a concrete testing technician. I went in to this course thinking it was going to be a breeze, I mean come on now, it is only concrete! Boy was I wrong! This week course should of been a month, they crammed so much crap at us. I passed though! :D

Good link by the way!

A forum for concrete? Now I've seen it all. I did a quick search there and still didn't find my answer. I know UCoat-it offers an epoxy to fill in the holes, but that might get a bit expenive.

I wonder if I can convinvce the wife that I need to pour a new floor with radiant heating installed? :D

I recently used cement paint in my shop and forget it, its all coming up. I talked to some floor experts now I have to remove the old stuff with chemicals and power washing, I have 2 choices for a reliable surface. One is cement stain, where it soaks in the pours of the cencrete, the other is epoxy. Not sure which direction to go yet, still too cold.

I put concrete stain on my (outdoor) patio about 3 years ago. Looked good in the beginning. Looks terrible now.

I have epoxy on the shop floor, and it is holding up quite well after a full year.

I did it myself. Proper prep is fundamental.
