Any particular reason?? Just curious...

Just not what they're looking for, not what they use at school, etc.



I'm pretty sure that we're going to get a custom PC built for them.

Get them started on Macs early!!



With all of the viruses and spyware and random system errors, I've been done with Windows for 3 years now.

Mac OS X is the most reliable OS available.



A Mac Mini would be great for the kids, and she can save money by using an existing monitor!

After being a Windows user since 3.1 I made the switch and 3 months later I can atest I love my Macs. I bought myself an Imac G5 and my 5 year old a Mac Mini and these are great computers. Since my purchase 3 friends and my father have switched.



If all you do is surf the net, check email, use Word, Excel, Powerpoint these things are the way to go. Simple, look great, easy to use, and VIRUS FREEEEEEEEEE!

E-machines are really good for the dollar. I built my own machine, but you *can't* beat the prices that e-machines and dell put out. Their use of mass marketing, pass the savings onto you. For an everyday computer you may as well buy a pre-built machine like the one above.
