GOT PREP?
This car completely owned me, no doubt about it. I spent 15 hours polishing the paint—never even touched the interior. Not only was it time consuming, but I tried almost every combination of pad/product/speed that I had before finally finding what worked. The paint is tinted clear and was as hard as a rock (which is completely opposite of every other experience that I have with tinted clear).
All is not lost as I was able to "charge accordingly" but i felt rather defeated at the hands of this car.
My final process was:
Ardex Alpha-grit (great product if you are using wool) via twisted wool @1800 RPM’s
HT HC via LC knitted wool (the nano foamed wool, or whatever it is called) @1500 RPM’s
IP @1500 via a Meguiars polishing pad
PO106FF @1400 RPM’s via a Wolfgang finishing pad

Sorry about the dust in the afters—I took the pictures the day after I completed the detail.
She’s not perfect by any means, but she’s much, much better. Some of the sanding marks left by the painter were deep enough to feel!
