has anyone ever received any complaints from a customer who wasnt satisfied with the work. and how many have you received. also why did they complain?

If you are in business long enough, you will get complaints no matter how good you are. Some people just can't be satisfied................. others just don't have a clue. If you know you did a good job, just move on................... most people will be satisfied with a good job.

I get complaints when I cant get some big scratch out that I told them I wouldnt be able to get out before I even start.

Customer service words to live by .......

You can please all of the people some of the time
You can please some of the people all of the time
But you can't please all of the people all of the time

You can do the absolute best detail on a car that's been ignored for years, and you've made all
those years of wear-n-tear vanish, but the final say belongs to the customer and some people
just cannot, will not, they refuse to be satisfied.

If they have a legitimate complaint, then I will make it right. If I'm right, then they get nothing. The dealership where I work at gives in to complaining customers way to easy and caters to them more than the loyal ones. This costs them thousands per year. Over time, word gets out that you're easy and people take advantage of you. I'll gladly lose an unsatifiable customer to another shop and let them deal with the hassle.

99% of the customers that have had something negative to say about my work are because they have confused me for a Car Restoration Expert which is totally different from a Detailing Expert!

Whilst "we" do a lot of paint correction etc, I think these people think we have a mobile body shop, upholstery shop, and mechanics shop in our kits...lol

Hence, why I walk them around the car first with me, and tell them what they can expect from me and the things they can't!

Takes two minutes to do, and has eliminated the unknown!

Detailers are similar to dry cleaners. Many people think they are miracle workers and can make anything look new again. That just isn't the case. The majoity of people will be satisfied but some are expecting miracles and they will never be pleased.

I've only had 2 complaints that I know of in the last 7 years. One was from a lady who said that her paint was bubbling up and peeling off now that I put some evil product on it. It was Blackfire that I used and I told her that I was using the same product on my car with no mysterious paint bubbling. I gave her the number to my attorney and told her to call him if she had anything else to complain about. The second complaint was from a lady who just wasn't satisfied with her windows. For crying out loud... I was doing the car at half price for her as a favor to start with. The glass was fine. Any haze or holograms she was seeing was a result of the LSD she did in the 60's because that glass was crystal clear.

Any other complaints I may have received over the past several years hasn't made its way back to my ears. I'm sure that there have been some, but they haven't told me about it. You can't please everybody, so I just do my best and trust that they will be satisfied with that.
