Competitor for AIO??

Meg. ColorX for me.I've had Z2 over it since Sep. and it's still beading and holding up thru this nasty winter here in the NorthEast.:up

Sounds like a good base for #16 or Natty's too. I didn't know it was that durable.

How are you applying it? PC or by hand?

is colorx available overseas? i've had a quick scour of the UK and Aust sites... seems to be products called Colour Boost Car Wax and Clear Coat Body Scrub in AU and UK respectively. ANybody know if this is the same thing?

See, I have colorx, and I wasn't that impressed with it... I mean I guess it's a decent polish, and it worked ok on cars with oxidation, but price aside, I'd pick AIO out of the two 100% of the time...

I'll prolly just stick with what works...

I applied the ColorX by PC, I think a lot of Zaino purest would not have believed it would have held up this long with ColorX for a base. This was part of an experiment I tried, too see if ColorX could be used and if it would affect the durability of the Zaino.I applied 3 coats of Z2 with ZFX on top of the ColorX.

I agree, I wasn't impressed with it. I used it on a red 95 cirrus and it helped but didn't look nearly as nice as when I actually polished the thing with DACP.

Colour Boost is the same product, just renamed (to the correct spelling). This question was answered on MOF and they're both green and very watery.

It's a good product, especially considering the price and availability. Definitely underrated, and a great base for any Meg's product. Works great on light swirls too either by hand or PC.

I don't know about durability as I always have something on top of it (NXT, #16, #26).

I'm not sure about non-Meg's products on top of it either. I'll try EX-P next time I have a chance.

AIO is great stuff too. Haven't used it as much as ColorX but it looks great with EX-P on top. The best thing is it won't stain trim like most Meg's products and I use it on my windscreen, windows, headlights, etc.

There's definitely room for both products in my garage.

I would love for someone to formulate a product that is as good/or better than AIO (I've had it (Car-Lack) around since the '60s) but of all the products tested none so far ( although I would agree on the Autoglym, slightly different approach (slightly more abrasive) Thus far Iâ€â„¢ve taught my children and grand children to detail with the same products ( Autoglym and Car-Lack (Klasse) I started out with, I wonder will anyone be able to say the same of Mgs NXT line?

To be fair though, it could be you were asking too much of ColorX if DACP made a difference. ColorX is great on light defects but anything more requires a dedicated polish or swirl remover.

Yeah, I don't think colorx and DACP are fair comparisons, as I'd use DACP before colorx or AIO, if I was going to polish out the car...

I don't know what it is about colorx, but it just didn't do it for me... I think comparing it to AIO is kinda ridiculious... Maybe compare it to P21S SEC, or such, but AIO has always seemed to give me better results...

I think i'm just sticking with it. Especially if it's toughest competitor is colorx....

I haven't used ColorX enough to dispute what you are saying. AIO is pretty tough to beat.
