After layering all sorts of products this summer, it's time to start all over...

(From EX-p, P21S, Souveran, Optimum, RMG....)

I want to remove all stuff, do some work on minor scratches and swirls and prepare the car for the upcoming road trip to Italy.

I was thinking of washing with orange degreaser

Then AIO by hand to remove all the stuff.

Then do back the EX-p, RMG thing.

Finally a pair of Souveran layers...

Just wash with Dawn dish soap or P21S Total Body Wash. I am not a fan of using degreaser on my paint that is not meant for paint.

All of the "stuff" if you mean waxes and sealants will be off after the wash.

Don't use EX-P before RMG.

Ok, the degreaser I mentionend is an orange/citrud based degreaser but I will follow your advice.

Then adding products in the following order :

AIO, some SSR 2 and Optimum polish/compound to remove minor scratches/swirls.

Then RMG-VM, EX-P

ANd then wax of choice....

The TAW works a zillion times better than Dawn but even it might not get *all* the wax off with one wash (just used both on a few vehicles this summer). Letting the TAW dwell on the panels for a while will help with the wax-stripping but I wouldn't let it dry on the paint.

IMO it's a pretty fine line between TAW and some citrus degreasers, but the TAW is definitely paint-safe and is what I use for this sort of thing.
