Comcast, ATT or Who?

May I request a little help in a decission?

As most of you will know ,in Belgium it rains a lot.Even when it's not raining ,most streets are moist a long time and I live in a verry rural area(It just isn't the end of civilisation):D .



So, to keep the car a bit cleaner a bit longer ,I could mount mud guards.My only concern is that its not beautifull.

I had a long talk with the dealer,but he could not show any pictures of an MPV with mudguards mounted.:(



What do you guys suggest?

-keep it original?

-mount the mudguards?

-???

I installed mud flaps on my truck but they were made by Chevy and match the body and all....they look stock which is what I like.



They do help keep the truck cleaner but man them flaps get nasty!!!!!
 
I love mudguards! They totally help keep the car a little cleaner. It's also protects the paint against small stones or even tar. In terms of the appearance, sometimes you don't notice the mudguards because they are so low. If you get black mudguards like me, they really blend in with the tires, you could hardly notice them. Go for it!
 
You can get classy mudflaps that look stock, or you could get the ole' Yosimite Sam pointing guns at people behind you mudflaps.



Any customization can be good - as long as it's done in good taste.
 
Sorry, Guess,no mudguards yet.

My first priority was a beautycase for the ride, filled with cosmetics called Zaino.

Call me nuts.

It should arrive next week(ordered allmost simultaniously with megiuars)

I had Comcast before and I think they are soooo expensive. Just looking for best package for internet and cable. Don't need any of this DVR stuff, don't record and we have a BlueRay player. Any ideas? I was going to try either Direct or Dish but the honkin' dish had to sit in the middle of my roof and would look terrible.

What part of the country do you live in? Here in Omaha we only have Cox Communications and Qwest. Qwest sucks, we had it at my parents house for about 6mo and went back to cox. At my house I have Cox as well. I have just the preferred cable pkg which is 15mgps. I have two high def cable boxes, both with dvr and about 980+ channels. A little overkill but it sucks when you cant just pick certain channels to get. I only watch football, news and all the discovery/history/learning channels. I pay about $130 a month for all of it. For when I travel out of town for 2+mos they have a $10 disconnect fee and that's all I do. Then I always talk them into coming out and hooking everything up for free :thumbup:

About 5 years ago I worked tech support for a huge telecommunication company. Cable/DSL is so much easier to tech than a freaking satellite. With a dish if it isn't working right 99.8% of the time I had to send a tech to the persons house. Just because most people cant understand/follow directions over the phone to re-align the satellite. If you live in an area that see's bad weather at all don't get a dish. You will lose connection. Might not be with every storm but 75% of the time they will drop connection even if its just for 30min or so. With cable you wont have to worry about it unless the power goes off. Then your pretty much screwed either way :tongue:

Just explore all your options and if you come across a company you like but still feel its too high, usually you can haggle with them and they will drop the price by 25-40% for the first year. After the first year when the price is about to go up tell them you're going to cancel and they will usually give you another year at about 25% off ;)
 
Chicago IL. What do you consider bad weather? Yes, we have alot of trees and wind at times with snow storms and thunderstorms! That's why we couldn't put the dish on the side of the house cause of trees. Thanks for your input.
 
We have Direct TV and I am shocked at how small of a storm will knock out the picture. We have a wide open yard with no trees within 100' of the dish.
I have been very displeased with DTV. Contract is up in February. Probably going to give FIOS a try.

I hate AT&T and Concast equally. I will do a coin toss and get back with you soon with the results :-B

O.K., I decided to go with a best 2 out of 3 contest. Here are my results.....

AT&T = Heads
Concast = Tails

Toss #1 ~ Heads
Toss #2 ~Tails
Toss #3 ~ Tails

So, my obvious choice in this matter would lean towards Concast :wizard:
 
At my house I felt my speeds were faster with comcast. Though I switched to Qwest as it was a little cheaper. I had Dish Network for TV and was happy with their service.

I'm now living at my wifes house an she has Comcast for internet and DTV. I don't like DTV as much....their guide is all messed up and the remotes are slow to react.


Dishes do go out often in storms but it's usually only for a short period of time. Cable tends to be more reliable but when it goes out it really goes out! Our cable service was out most the day yesterday metro-wide.


I like Flashes idea of the coin toss! :)
 
Have Comcast and its OK (barely ). AT&T U-Verse is not available in my location. AT&T is saying I'm at the outer limits of their coverage area by 1,500 ft. Tried it but signal was too weak. My son lives a few miles away and has AT&T U-Verse and loves it. My son had direct TV before and it sucked during storms, high winds etc.
 
Dishes are only good if you truly live in the middle of Alaska/Montana somewhere like that does not have service providers at all. Even then for those people out there with dishes and it does go down you are DONE. Because it usually takes a tech a weeks notice to go out. Id rather be with out cable TV if a dish was my last option on the planet :-t
