Color sanding powder coated parts?

Can you color sand powder coated parts? If so is there any special techniques? I have a glove box door in gloss black and the orange peel is crazy!

i believe the process is basically the same. powder coating is supposedly just paint that's been applied and melted onto the paint. i know plenty of people on the motorcycle forums have wetsanded out powdercoat.

Powder coat is actually an epoxy powder that is static charged onto the metal, then oven baked to melt it onto the surface. You can still polish it up to a degree, no special processes, but it is rather a hard finish. The powder comes in various gloss levels, and the surface forms a glazed shell after baking. You will find it hard to polish the under surface up to match the gloss of the outer shell.
