Color of the paint

I had saw an artical or message talking about the colors of the car



it said the red color and some others doesn;t stand the sun good and it's more easy to get dull than other colors , is that true ? and is there any way to prevent that problems ?



Also , besides red , what color will have the similar problems ?

This used to be the case (in the 60s and 70s), but today's paints are generally clearcoated, and are acrylic and not as prone to oxidation as they used to be.



ANY paint will look like hell in a year or two if it is left in the sun, never washed except at the "car wash", and not properly waxed (sealed).
