Collonite 845 over WG DGPS 3.0?

I have a 2009 Ford Fusion in sport metallic blue. Garaged and owned since July '08. I wash it often and have been trying several different products over the past year (sealants/ waxes, etc.)



I am thinking of my last pre-winter detail and doing the following (by hand):



-Wash with Dawn

-Clay

-WG paintwork polish enhancer (already have)

-Meg's Deep Crystal polish (already have)

-WG DGPS 3.0, cure 12 hours, then second coat (already have)

-finish with Collonite 845 (will purchase)



I also have OS and would use it too since it is so quick and easy, just not sure at what stage...



I am looking to achieve both great looks and durability over the winter. This is my first new car and so I've been slowly getting into the whole detail thing. So if anything seems out of whack about my plan, please let me know, as well as any other comments or suggestions. I appreciate any input!

i have great results with the 845 alone. two layers 24 hours apart. i question the layering of multiple products. i think that you are way over engineering your protection. but hey, what do i know? :)
 
Anyone? I did do a search before I posted my question, and didn't see any mention of these two products being used together... (Although I've seen many similar posts with lots of responses from folks...):ignore

845 IW and DGPS 3.0 have distinctly different looks. You should choose one or the other.



845 is not the longest lasting Collinite, for everyone in different climates it is of course different. I highly suspect DGPS 3.0 and 845 will last about the same lenght of time!

yea. if you havnt purchased the 845 yet. id look into 915. i use 845, and the durability is good, but quite overrated IMO. when i run out of 845 ill be buying 915 to try it out.. 476 is supposed to be the most durable collinite has to offer, but in a wax test i did. 476 and 845 lasted about the same amount of time. my wintercoat consists of 3m performance finish, and a boost from a spray each time i wash, boosts the look and durability... believe it or not the 3m stuff outlasted a coat of the klasse twins, i dont know if you've read about klasse, but its supposed to be durability in a bottle. i had several things on my test outlast it.. you might want to take a look at it , i tested a lot of stuff you probably read about on here. http://www.autopia.org/forum/car-detailing/116951-wax-test.html
 
Thanks for the responses! But the #915 is twice as expensive as the #845... I guess I've looked at a lot of cases where folks topped a sealant with a wax for winter protection. I really like the "wet" look and will definitely be using the WG 3.0. But I don't want to mute that look with a wax, or spend more than $15-20 on a new wax.



Any suggestions on a winter wax to top the 3.0 with?
