Got some more bottles of Collinite, but the wax in these bottles doesn't seem to move. It sort of just stays like a blob in the bottle. Even after extreme shaking, this stuff wont budge inside the bottle. Is it ok to try soaking it in warm water?
I think this is the thread where people talk about how to get it shook up: http://autopia.org/forum/showthread.php?t=65542&highlight=Collinite. Mine was like a blob as you say, but some serious shaking (like 5 minutes), to my surprise, turned it inot a thin liquid. Don't know how long it takes to go back to a blob, but it's probably a good idea (just like with all your products) to shake them up every couple of months.
you have to shake it hard for about five minutes or i also leave it inside my car on a sunny day and it thins right out and stays thin, and when it thins out a little bit will go a long way
I just bought mine and the very top of the bottle was "plugged" with a chunk of "blobbed" wax. I pushed the blob in with a chop stick then just shook it for about 5 minutes while reading the forums. :chuckle: It now seems to be a uniform liquidy wax.
At first I thought your thread was going comment on the durability of Collinite and how it doesn't wash off with Dawn or some other heavy-duty detergent
Like everyone else has said, leave it in a hot environment to let it warm up and become more "liquidy". Then you can try shaking it vigorously for a while. If that doesn't work, then use something to stir it up. Hope that helps. Whatever you do, don't throw it away, though! Just shake it up
