Collinite vs Meguiar's #16

Yeah, the Collinites aren't the best smelling products, nor are they the worst. FK Pink Wax and 1Z Hartglanz are probably the stinkiest products that I've come across....I won't use them again. Anything that smells too chemically or fruity typically gets the thumbs down from me, whether or not it works well. #16 smells like Crayola crayons to me which is kind of interesting, but not annoying...another reason why I rate it higher than the Collinites (which I don't use anymore).

I also think #16 smells like crayons- an interesting smell for a car wax.

It's all part of a conspiracy.

You guys remember back in the '90's when Apple computers donated

a gazillion of their computers to high schools throughout the country ?

The theory was that they'd get their money back in sales of computers that

the kids learned on.

Meguiars was actually the pioneer of this type of marketing. They got together

with Crayola and paid to have the crayons smell like their then top of the line

consumer wax. ( Little known fact here, if you look at the big 64 color crayon

box that every kid wanted, the 16th crayon in the box is pale blue )

Anyways, the rest as they say is history.

We're all buying #16 because we were conditioned to it in elementary school.

That explains it! :chuckle:

To those who have used Collinite, especially 915, do you notice if it attracts more dust than sealants?

Less than a day after applying the 915 it appears that it may be attracting dust. Hopefully this is a temporary issue. Dust attraction is one attribute of an LSP that I am not willing to live with.
