They ARE NOT the same, although similar. They have the same basic formula, but 476 has more carnauba. 476 is a paste while 845 is more of a gel; makes sense, and somewhat relates to Accumulator's thoughts. 476 and 885 Fleet Wax (as well as 238) are the same as discussed.
Paste = more Liquid = less
845 is designed for greater ease of application. That is why the liquid form. The carnauba had to be decreased and other chemicals increased to meet the need of the product.
