Collinite quest / which is more durable

If you have a harbor freight store near you, I would check there. It had both Collinite 845IW and 476S on sale there. I think the 845 was $12 and the 476 was $14.

And they *do* have a Harbor Freight by me... do *you* have one up there in Logan yet, Greg? ;) Let me know if you need me to pick you up anything.

Do you have any Harbor Freights near you? Some of them carry Collinite 476 & 885 although I don't recall seeing any at the one here in Lexington.

Decent shipping costs to Canada.

Hit up eshine.ca if you are in Canada, great prices/service, and free shipping over 150 bucks (which is all to easy too blow past, trust me ;)).

I love Collonite's waxes, great products for the price. 2 coats of 476 lasted 5 months with a two bucket wash once a week up here in Winterpeg, and I thought that was bloody impressive. It was still going when the car it was on got written off, although I should mention the lower door parts failed earlier, but nothing a touch up of PB QW+ couldn't alleviate.

845IW is easier to apply and mimics 476s performance in my experience, perhaps with a little less durability. Great on lights and metallics though. These will be in my stable for a long time.

Anyone else notice that every one of those cars on the coffee table is swirl-free?

Nice kids, Steck. Enjoyed the pics.

I have both 476s and 845. I use 476s more frequently. The only reason I don't use the 845 is because its difficult to get the product out of the bottle!

Really? You need to shake the bejeezuz out of it for a few minutes. 845 should feel and pour like oil.

+1.

A few weeks ago, I got a new bottle of 845 from Car Quest. The consistency was like vaseline. After about 10 mins of shaking, the product is where it should be, which is a runny, thin consistency. Thinner than most liquid waxes/sealants.

Once it is thinned out, it will stay like that, requiring minimal shaking before use.
