Collinite for boats and RV's

In the little town where I grew up, my father, Harold Ketcham, was know as "Ketch", and since I was his son, I was known as "Little Ketch".

By the time I was 14, I was then 6 foot tall and my father was still 5'7". But, still, I was "Little Ketch".

As I grew in the age, in the town, the business world, moved on with my life, people started calling me "Ketch" and did not even know my father.

It would get funny when I would be back in the old home town and Dad and I would go out for a drink or two.

When he would read an article in a automotive trade magazine that referred to Ron Ketcham, known as "Ketch" to his company and customers, you could see his chest grow large.

I carried forth the mantra of the family. My son, Rocky, does the same. He is a proud, "get it done correct", ex-Marine, don't make excuses, just as his Grandfather and father. He is known as "Ketch" as well.

As time passed, things changed, as is the way of this world.

People would look at me, by then around 25 and 6'3", and say, "well, Ketch, and , aww, aww, Ron, da, da, da.

How did they handle this, simple, I was the one to carry the torch, as my son is doing now at 41.

My father passed away 3 years ago this coming March, but really loved the way that those in the industry call me "Ketch", he knew the posistion I had gained in an industry of which he never got as far, or even dreamed, was a validation of the way he raised me .

He knew that I was carrying on the birthright of the "Ketch" and it would be respected by the industry he loved.

So, since I am well known, can't hide behind names, etc. I will remain the name that has a history of "do it right, or don't do it at all!" and am proud to carry forth that tradition.

Ketch

(damned proud of it)

<strong class='bbc'>arcticwhite was a paint color offered by GM on certain C4 models of Corvettes. When I first began my search for a Vette about a year ago, I initially looked for an arcticwhite car as I liked the color.

You see what I ended up choosing instead. :p [/b]</blockquote>Bang goes my "Fog Chicken" theory...

I guess I don't feel so bad. I'm on the same boat as Brad B., Brian S., Jason, & Dave C. I guess David B., Holly-Marie & DonG fall into this category, too.

well, mine's pretty self explanatory... it's the same one I use on clublexus too.

Intermezzo 330I -- nice caption below your name... go Bruins! :D

I am surrounded by nothing but "youngens", woe is me, now I will have to learn to be polictically correct, get a Palm unit, wear designer sun glasses, get a yuppie mobile, oh, oh, woe is me!!

:(

Here is the story of mine. I tried using my initials, "DAR" but the system would not accept them. So, I added "BH" (for "Beverly Hills, where my office is) to "DAR" and got DARBH. So I see everyone else's cool names and regret by cobbled up handle.:(

Duh... no challenge to figure mine out. I'm a transplant from upstate NY; moved here in '76 for school after 3 years in the military stationed in Germany. (Bimmer heaven :p)

I'm centrally located here with lots of clean livin', friendly folks and <em class='bbc'>THE[/i] best BBQ. (If only we could be better at our baseball and football  -- but hey, at least we got teams!)

The name was what I became known as in my town years ago ( like Snake ) in my rock band days. I played the club circuit in Philly for about 10 years, throughout the Delaware valley. I taught guitar while I played it, classical, rock, folk, blues, now jazz , I practically slept with it at some points, but this is a family board so I'll veer away from that one...(j/K )

I'm 44 now but I still crank it now and again and play some Trower, Santana, as well as the contemporary jazz stuff i now prefer to play and listen to. Besides, I stunk at lead tuba :)

i took my nic from a song by one of my favorite bands, the pixies. They have a song called "debaser" from the doolittle album. It's not my absolute favorite pixies song, but it's still great nonetheless. I added a 330ci on the end, cause, well, that's what kind of car I have!

i also sometimes go by dbase-r, because I'm work with databases all day. a play on words....

 All the cool names were already taken.

My first name is Scott and I am a detailer. Scottwax was the quickest way to convey the information.
