Collinite Fleet Wax vs. Powerlock

I use about 1/4th of an ounce per car...one product to pad application X, then one circle, then 4 drops in the quarters of the pad. do all the horizontals first, then half the sides, then the other half

Are you saying that you do the entire car with this one application on LSP to the pad?    I'm sure using too much then!!!  Wouldn't the application be more uniform if you just applied 2 or 3 drops per panel??

I used Powerlock for the first time about 2 weeks ago and over-applied. When buffing off I noticed wax holograms and cleaned those up with some ONR. Then last weekend I detailed a 135i BMW and got a chance to re-use it.

As already mentioned, application is super easy on and off and you really do not need much at all.

I was using a Menzerna 5" black finishing pad with the DA for application. Primed the pad, added no additional product and managed to cover the bonnet (hood in American talk - I am from South Africa) and both front fenders and front bumper.

Then applied 2 pea sized drops for each of  the vertical sides, and 2 for the roof and rear end combined.

A little REALLY goes a long way.

I have always trusted people's expertise on products here. But some of the above comments concern me a little regarding taking the PL off. IF I ever need to do that, I don't want it to be pain taking task.

how?  I said its easy...lol

PL is super easy on and off, no paint about it....I am about to order another 32oz bottle as I only have about 5 cars worth left.  no other sealant works as well for me.

Nanolex sealant is good and durable, but its a PITA to remove off the car!  Talk about a lot of rubbing to get it off!  I have it on my hood from a sample, never bought the whole amount.  If they reformulate it to make it easier to remove, while having the same qualities, I would probably equate it to powerlock with a little more darkening effect

Nanolex sealant is very easy to remove, since you had difficulties you probably waited too long to buff, depending on which one you used, they all have different cure time.

In the event that the sealant was left beyond the recommended time,  all you need is to use a small amount of the same sealant and work the area again to remove any residue.

It dries very fast but takes longer to cure.

I only let it sit on the car for 5 min inside a garage at which point it was a PITA to remove.  I have talked to a few others and they said the same thing...hard to apply and remove, but works well and looks good.

Powerlock is just stupid easy to apply and remove, I see no need for anything else
