Collinite 915 Q's

HAH! well i think i answered my own question. i guess the easiest way to remove it is to not put so much on in the first damn place:wall

LOL i was searching more on it and another autopian said something about how it was like trying to remove concrete. I did another coat on the hood of my wrangler this morning but VERY thin and didn't have any problems. gotta love the learning curves:chuckle:

I normally do a panel at a time with 915. Wait a few mins and then wipe off. I've never had any problems with removing.

Oh yeah and don't apply too much product. Apply thin . :lol

lol yep!

I have a better understanding of how it works now. The only problem I have now is I can't stop staring at the hood while I'm driving:getdown

Are you happy with the look of the 915 ?

Very much so! I still want to explore other products cause I don't wanna be a one trick pony with my waxes, BUT 915 is definitely keeper.

I'm almost just the opposite , I have so much stuff that never lives up to the hype on here that I am trying to narrow my product selection .

Collinite 915 is my staple wax, but it can be a PITA sometimes becuase it will leave hologram looking smears on the paint that usually come out during the next wash. However, the look is great and warm IMO, but it also darkens the paint. I prefer brighter paint so I mostly use sealants, but if I'm going for longevity 915 is the way to go.

Here's one pic, notice how dark the paint is. BTW, this car had TERRIBLE orange peel, hence the fuzzy reflection:

I have gotten more compliments on cars topped with 915 than any other lsp. I personally think it looks great on black. The longevity is superb and will outlast almost anything out there..

Does that mean that you have enough confidence in it that you would even use it on something like that red car in your avatar?!

Great! Thanks again.

1 more question

forgive my ignorance as im used to soft waxes and sealants, but what is the best method do removing 915?

915 is state-of-the-art wax in terms of durability and you apply it, let it dry for a short time and remove it with microfiber. In fact, you don't really have to let it dry. You can remove it right away, just like you do with P21S. However, IME this "slightly" reduces the durability...but even so, 915 still outlasts most anything else.

Personally I like the shine you will get with 915 (or 845 and 476) but I will concede that it is equaled by other products. But if durability is important to you...this is the champ.
