Collinite 845 IW, pleasantly surprised!

My car as most of you know is black and a week and a half ago I detailed it again. It had already been clayed etc previously so I jus did p21s cleanser > rmg > natty's blue.



So anyway this past friday I decided to apply some 845 just for the heck of it since I have never used it on my car before. All I can say is WOW, this was looks way nicer than people give it credit for.



One of my friends gave me a sample of collinite 915 (their flagship wax) and I used it on my hood and to be honest I think the 845 looks better.



Also it rained slightly last night after my car had pollen on it (yuck pollen mud) so this morning when I went to clean it off with my usual ONR QD mix it came off easier than it ever has before. This stuff seems to have non-stick properties, I love it!



I still havent decided if its going to replace my natty's and zymol but its looking that way, it really looks great.
 
I'm with you Ron. I used it on my black Bonneville last fall and was very happy. I just finished it up with XMT Glaze followed by Nattys Blue, and while I think it does look better, it's honestly not a large difference to me. I haven't had the NB on long enough to tell how well it cleans, but the 845 had amazing slickness that made washing a breeze.
 
the water repelling properties of this wax is unbeatable! I used it on my brothers ruby colored Fusion last week and we were both saying "wow". Good stuff!

No pics for me until I get my new mac, my existing one (laptop) was sat on and is now out of comission.



I shoot in RAW so installing what I need to process my RAW files on this stupid windows would be a waste...
 
Yal- Yeah, just because something's old and/or there are new alternatives, that doesn't mean those old-timers aren't still viable.



I've often wondered which wax old Mr. Collins first came out with, and whether it's still one their current offerings :think:
 
did you know 845 was for electricians to help pull wires thru conduit , before it was found to be great on cars ... My dad had a 5 gallon bucket of it from his electrician job back in the 60's it said nothing about "wax" it was a pulling lubricant
