Collinite 845 - How Thick?

Question about Collinite in the plastic bottle, what is the solvent content of #845? Layerable?

Dunno about the solvent layer, but yeah, multiple layers (or "applications", as some might prefer ;) ) will last longer than just one.

On the waiting period before you buff, I've let Collinite (845 and 476S) set up overnight and even longer, no problem. I've gotten to where I even let Souveran dry completely, even after a few hours (!) it buffed off easily. As long as you don't put stuff on too thick there aren't too many waxes you can't let dry completely (IIRC Swissol and Victoria might be the exceptions, I forget about the Zymol Estate Glazes).

Accumulator, would you say that leaving it overnight will make a difference in durability compared to leaving it on for 2-3 hours? I have my car outside, and leaving it overnight might allow it to collect lots of dust, something I definitely don't want to be scrubbed into the paint when I'm buffing :)

I left it on for about 20-30 minutes yesterday. Notice some slight dusting when wiping it off. It should come off pretty easy leaving it on all night, would recommend being garaged though. I was told not too long ago that you should not use a QD to remove wax or sealant, it will dimished the durability. What do people think of that? Kinda like what Accumulator is saying.

When 845IW is still in its liquid form, the solvent will penetrate through LDPE dispensers bottles making it soft. I couldn't figure out why my dispenser bottles were getting soft and the glue from the label smudging. 845IW must be stored in HDPE bottles !

Nah, don't bother waithing that long. I just mentioned it as a FWIW. When I'm doing stuff like a set of wheels I like to put it on and then go do something else; sometimes I don't get back to the wheels for a long time. It's not like there's any functional point in waiting longer than it takes for the stuff to dry to a haze, at least not that I've ever noticed.

I think that makes a lot of sense but that it also depends on the LSP/QD in question. I generally don't use QDs to remove stuff unless I've botched up the application (too thick or something). But I doubt that using FK425 is gonna compromise something, no hard data to back it up but I just think it *adds* rather than detracts/compromises and I've done some impressive (well, to me :o ) spitshining with Pinnacle CM and Griot's SpeedShine; sure didn't seem to cause any problems.
