Collinite 476s - Your best practices?

davidc- Huh, maybe it's your environment, I've just never had waxes get hard to buff off if I wait.

Guess it is my fault not explaining. I have not had any problems removing 476S or 885 I just meant that 915 was the same for buffing off, no problems.

I have always liked it, it's easy to work with, it seems to let bugs and such come off with ease and imo it's a very nice looking product.

Im brand new to 915 but I've been very happy with it. I can never see spending $100 on wax. This stuff seems to do everything I could ever need a wax to do. $38 and it looks like it's going to last a really, really long time. 3 applications and it still looks untouched.

Their FleetWax is the same stuff as 476S, just a larger tin with marine labeling = better bargain ! 915 was their attempt at getting into the boutique market, basically 476S with coconut scent added.

Yes, this is true...but it is indeed quite durable either way. I love the 915 too though and it's pretty durable on its own when using a ph neutral shampoo.

I try to apply 476s with applicators dampened by Meguiar's qd to help with thin application. For buffing, I use a microfiber towel draped over a foam pad installed on my PC. I spritz the a panel with qd then buff. Makes easy work of 476s of all the methods I've tried.
