Collinite 476 as a topper??

I tried to search this subject and I cannot remember any posts about collinite being used as a topper. I know it has great durability alone, but say putting it over SG or Z2, would it remove any of the Z2 or SG. Their can says detergent proof but it still may be able to remove some of the layers underneath it. It has a mild chemical smell. I have 2 layers of it on my parents Rav 4 and thats over 2 layers of Z2. I personally like the product, it beads like none other and as someone stated before about its self cleaning abilities, I did notice that my parents Rav 4 stays a bit cleaner. Im just not sure if all my work has gone awry.

I use Collinite right now as ESP early step product for it's sealant like durability. I use p21s as an LSP. Reason for this is that the p21s has a high glimmer and great slickness.

I've used 476S as a topper over synthetics and I've never had any reason to believe it stripped them. And I apply the 476S sorta aggressively for a paste wax (because the Cyclo isn't quite the same as putting it on by hand).

IMO Collinite says that stuff about "may remove underlying.." as sorta a CYA disclaimer thing. Note that most any pastewax will remove *some* kinds of contamination (and/or other stuff) just because they all have some amount of solvent in them and there is always some friction involved in the application. I've never seen any unusual-for-a-paste-wax behavior from 476S.

I used Collinite 476s for the fist time at the begining of the UK winter. I applied it over #83, #82, NXT and the results are very good. 3 months on the beading is exceptional and very slick it should see me through till spring with ease.

I like the 476 to. I like Collinite Insulator Wax better. Much easier to apply and remove. It leaves a very glossy finish on my silver and is very slick. It lasted longer on my wheels than anything else I have tried including many sealants.

I will be doing a mid winter detail in a couple of weeks. I am going to wash , clay, P21S GEPC by PC, #476 x 2, topped with Insulator Wax. I will add coats of IW as needed till spring.

Usually I use a paste as the topper but I like the look and slickness of Insulator Wax better than #476.
