While sitting at work watching CNN I just seen this story...Here is the online article:

There are items listed on ebay which will go to help Terry and his family, here is the link..maybe someone will find something they like and help out this family at the same time. It's good to know that there are some teenagers that have their heart in the right place and are willing to help out however they can...I went to help with Katrina relief efforts back during Thanksgiving, and it changed my life...this experience will change these kids' lives forever...Helping someone else feels great, never give up the opportunity to give a helping hand. Im done ranting on now...I just thought I would share these links if anyone was interested..

Hey thanks for the heads up. great to see we have some younger people who are learning that it is better to give than receive. as far as you lending a helping hand , I am sure you have touched some people in a way they will never forget. your heart is in the right place :bigups

Thank you very much flatstick...while down in Gulfport, a phrase I commonly told the people I met when they said thank you...or even the many people we helped who didnt say thank you

(many drug houses and people who were just angry)

I told them thank you, because as much as they thought I was a blessing to them...they were really the blessing to me

I learned lessons that I will never forget, I seen the devastation first hand..I had an idea of what it was going to look like because of what I seen on tv...but when you are standing in basically a empty town where buildings were once standing and streets were crawling with kids playing...and it is now dirt and debris...your heart just sinks...I always use to be worried about going into the right job to make enough money for me to be happy and have everything I wanted...After going to Gulfport you get a feeling of...as long as I can support my family and put a house over our heads, it will do..People who lost everything, were rejoicing when those busses filled with volunteers showed up. Many people think the clean-up stage is over...but it is just begining, our help will be needed for the years to come..

Boy that picture does give you an idea of what things were really like. I can not imagine what these people were going through. like you said they made you appreciate what you do have , rather then what you do not. people like you were not given enough credit in my eyes. the media at times will only portray the negative aspects instead of the human spirit and the giving nature. sir my hat if off to you. I appreciate the fact that you gave what you had to those who were in a very tough situation. awesome of you if you ask me. :hifive:
