CMW and RMG on the Si

We picked up the Civic a couple of weeks ago. It had been on the lot for a few months and had plenty of swirls and water spots. I spent the first weekend working it over with the PC and claying. The little guy also rcvd a few coats of sealant.

The sealant was a little bright so I decided to try my sample of CMW that I rcvd from a trade a few months ago. I first applied the RMG then the CMW (both by PC).

It certainly did darken the color. I am pretty happy with the look.

Also in the detail:

PB Wheel Sealant

PB BnB - tires

VRT - weather stripping

303 - interior/dash

Paint looks VERY Blue. I really like the color. How does it feel driving the car with that shifter like that (coming out of the dash)? I have wondered about that since that car came out. Everyone always tells me that it feels the same as if it were on the floor....

The color is one of my favorites. It was a big part of why we picked the car.

The shifter is great. Very little movement from the steering wheel to the knob. The 06 models appear to have the shifter back on the floor.

The wheels are a major pain to clean and seal. I will be shopping for some 5 or 7 spokes.

heh, well the new Si has the shifter back on the floor :P

the rally shifter didn't catch on at all...

is that electron blue?

Vivid pearl blue.

Tks for the compliments.

I currently have two hondas, but will have three as soon as I sell the Xterra!

I am thinking about an 06 element EX-P (painted panels).

Is that the Clearkote Vanilla Moose Wax? I thought the Moose wax went on before the RMG? If someone could clarify, it would be much appreciated.

Car looks great BTW!

Hondas are addicting. I would get a Pilot instead of an element, you'll love the Pilot its a very nice SUV with a lot of room and of course great build quality and they look a lot better IMO.

I believe he was refering to Clearkote Carnauba Moose Wax.

That is right. Carnauba Moose Wax. It was very easy to apply and remove.

The Pilot is nice, but a little big and wide for my driveway/garage situation. I have come around to the odd look of the Element. When I first saw them I hated the shape. From my observations, the AWD Element is Very good in snow/ice. We tend to get some of that weather in Arkansas. Not a lot, but enough to make you want AWD.

True, good vehicle for that type of duty. One thing cool about the element is the floors, never have to worry about staining the carpets.

Paul, long time no speak!:) I wish you'd had that Si when I was in town. They are a blast to drive and the shifter on the dash has an oddly natural feel to it. You've done beautiful work to it and I look forward to seeing your wheel choice.

Autopian's, if you are ever in the Little Rock area, be sure to look this guy up. He's a true first class gentleman and has some of the best looking paint around! The scenery in his back yard is simply breathtaking too.

Thanks for the kind words my friend.

I would really like to hear your opinion of your new cyclo.

I hope business is good and your family is well.

We have twins! Mine is an '04 I purchased in January '05.

It has 3x SG in this photo, I have since added Natty's on top which really brought out the depth but kept the metal flake.

I love the dash mounted shifter too and the seats are great too.

:) Paul, I'm really liking my Cyclo. It's just so much smoother in operation than the PC that it's more fun to use and at the same time it returns some pretty nice results. It really shines on final polishing after rotary work where it makes final polishing a breeze and enjoyable. It's quieter also. I don't think any of your cars would be a problem to polish with the Cyclo either.:) If you ever get the opportunity to use one, don't pass it up.

Yes, we're all well. Thanks
