CMA's Car Wash Nozzle

I would assume that if they'd offered to ship him a replacement for free, Intel would have taken it (but maybe I'm wrong).

Can't speak for Intel, but I would not have had any interest in another spray nozzle if I was not happy with the first one. A store credit for some other product, yes. I fully agree that if a vendor goes out of their way to take care of this type of problem, the customer service benefit would have far outweighed the product cost. We also should keep in mind that vendors rely on the opinions of lots of people in selecting the items they sell. You may have noticed that sometimes there are widely different opinions about the same produts.;)

PS: Skip the nozzle, get the short piece of hose with the cheap shutoff valve,:D

You could just do what my father does; fill up a bucket with car wash soap and water, dump all the soapy water on the car, wipe suds with a dishcloth then fill up the bucket again with new clean water and dump it on the car as a rinse. Then let air dry.

No matter how I try, he won't deviate from his 40 year old routine. At least he started using car wash soap instead of dish soap or worse.

I have had excellent results for years with products made by a company named Nelson. They make a full line of hose sprayers, lawn sprinklers, and quick connect fittings. I have been using their pattern sprayer for a long time. Home Depot as well as independent hardware stores sell Nelson products. However, be aware that there are two Nelson lines, those made out of plastic and those made out of metal. I only buy the more expensive, metal line. For instance, their better pattern sprayer is metal with a padded urethane-like coated handle for comfort. I have dropped it several times over the years and it still works great. Also, their quick hose connectors are available in plastic or brass. If you decide to try them, make sure to get the brass type.

Yeah, I'd rather have that too. But it sounds like the basically offered him nothing. The store credit was only if he shipped his nozzle back. So the credit would probably about the cost of the shipping. So they basically said "pay $10 and we'll give you a $10 credit". In that case, a free nozzle would be better than nothing. I think I will try out a shut-off valve.

Natty, that's funny. At least he uses car soap. My brother-in-law uses Tide and a dishrag. Although he does use a hose...
