wanted to confirm compatibility between these products...

i have a 1999 rio red cobra, very good condition, very minimal spider marks, very little fading..

the car is not garaged, and is daily driven....

am looking for a line up of products that will protect my finish, and brighten it up (the products Ive found for red cars suggest it will darken appearance of finish ie: souveran carnuaba, clearkote RMG)

will eventually invest in a porter cable, in the meanwhile planning on doing this all by hand....

so far this is what im looking at:

basic clay and wash, followed by

1)Menzerna IP 16oz $14 (or 32oz $23)

2)Menzerna FPII Final Polish 16oz $14 (32oz $24)

3)ClearKote Vanilla Moose (Hand Glaze) $11.95 -

4)ClearKote Carnuaba Moose Wax $17.95

5)S100 carnuaba wax $16.95

hoping this will give me adequate protection, depth shine and luster....

does it get much better than this for what im looking for?

have been told it would be ideal to let the ClearKote CMW sit for 24 hours before applying the S100?

assuming everything else can be done without any curing time?

have not been able to find alot of info on the menzerna, was only told its a top notch product...

thanks guys, really appreciate any insight/advice....

Gooday. I'm the australian clearkote rep.

Menzerna, Clearkote and P21S/S100 is a great combination

According to my master, mizzuri PO87MF final polish I will provide higher gloss than FP II

Have both and was very impressed with FP II, yet to use FP I with my rotary and edge pads.

In my opinion you will need more than those waxes you mentioned for optimum protection

The car I am refinishing right now had the following done to it

Optimum shampoo

Clay

Menz IP w/ black 3M waffle pad

Menz FP II w/black 3M waffle

Poorboys SSR 1 w/ edge classic blue pad

Clearkote Vanilla moose w/ Edge classic white

Clearkote RMG w/ edge classic white

Clearkote yellow moose by hand with MF

Menzerna FMJ x 1 coat

Will be following up with a coat of UPP, 1 coat of Wolfgang DGPS and 1 - 2 of P21S

CMW will be applied to bottom of front bumper to protect from bug guts damaging the surface.

Maybe alot of steps for some but the paintjob was done two years ago and never detailed

Was only washed and very poorly, lots of swirls, scratches and marring

New owner will be taking good care of it

Scott,

I would try something like

Menzerna IP

MEnzerna 85RD

Wash with Zaino

Zaino Z2pro x 3

Soverean (darken a little) or

P21S (more fluid pop???):nixweiss

On a dark red finish this would be my ultimate combo, although I dont like to use glazes and I havent tried clearkote, poorboys, 4 star, platium products. Anyone agree with this line up? Any changes or suggestions?

Why wash after buffing. if somone caused sling then yes but you certainly don't and have taught me how to prevent it.

What amazes me about menzerna is the fact that it removes so much orange peel. whereas conventional cutting compounds and polishes I have used like **, *****, *****, and *** do not remove any or a fractional amount.
