ClearKote goodies...

dom-Moose Wax doesn't seem to remove the Vanilla Moose. I picked up some more of both today and used them on a scratched up black Ford F-150 that has seen a lot of brush during hunting season. Mostly light surface scratches, so I used Vanilla Moose first, which took care of most the scratches-some were too deep for anything to work on them, and the paint looked very black and reflective. I then used Moose Wax and didn't notice any of the scratches reappearing and the shine seemed even deeper. Moose Wax uses light chemical cleaners as near as I can determine which don't seem to affect Vanilla Moose.

One thing that was nice about Vanilla Moose now is that a vanilla scent has been added. I tested it before it's release and before any scent had been added. Very nice. Made me want to go get a vanilla milkshake when I finished the truck!

To anyone in the Dallas area. HYPER-formance at Six Flags Mall currently has 9 bottles of Vanilla Moose, and 10 bottles each of Moose Wax and Quikshine. Their number is 817 640-4406.

Dom,

Would you mind emailing me? I'd like to come check your car out in person and maybe you can help me figure out why I can't get my swirls out. I'm doing everything by hand and noticed you're using a PC. I'd like to see that in action if possible.

Nice touch! I remember asking you about this, and thought it was a bit odd that it was called "vanilla moose" but was only vanilla coloured!

I was thinking the same thing, but I guess I got an unscented version because Mr. Glass was probably mostly interesting in what I thought of it perfomance wise. Now, not only does it work great, but it smells fantastic. The guy at HYPER-formance mentioned he had tried it and loved the smell too.

BTW, used VM on a blue BMW X5 today (topped with S100) and the combination was amazing! When I let the lady know I was done with her X5, when she first walked out to look at it, I saw a huge smile spread across her face, she then stopped and said the paint looked simply amazing!

Anyway, I took a couple of pics, but I still have 6-7 more to go on this roll of film, so y'all will just have to wait.

Dom, going back to the start of this thread you mention the "Show" package. I don't see it on their site--they just have millenium pkgs. A & B which doesn't contain all of the products you purchased. Has anyone been able to get this rather spectacular offer recently?

I ordered the Millenium A pkg Monday and I also asked for a sample of Vanilla Moose, rather than send me a sample Everrett allowed me to get 16 oz of both Moose wax and Van Moose, instead of 32 oz of Moose Wax only. He said He was thinking of calling this the Autopia special due to order volume he is receiving from members of this board. I told him to contact David B if he was willing to offer any specials or Autopia discounts

I received my package from ClearKote Wed. and went to work.

I called them to order a gal of the QuikShine and some Vanilla Moose Wax and ended up ordering the "Show Package" which had 1 gal of the QS, a 16 oz. of Van. Moose Wax and Moose Wax, 4 oz. Metal Polish, 16 oz. Vinyl/Leather dressing, 16 oz. Car Wash and an empty 16 oz. spray bottle for the QS-total shipped to my house=$63.00.(I will post photo of package contents later)

Has anyone been able to purchase these goodies for 63 bucks including shipping (since domZ did on 1/24) through the ClearKote website?

Both the packages come with a 32 oz bottle of Moose Wax and instead, he got the 16 oz bottle and a 16 oz bottle of Vanilla Moose. I think.

If Jessispop did it, you should be able to also. The packages are $55 and shipping is $8.

Scottwax--I understand what you are saying about splitting the qt. of Moosewax into 1 pt of Van. Moose and 1 pt. of Moosewax, but what is still left out is the 16 oz. vinyl/leather dressing that Dom received in the "Show" pkg.

Oh, well (great idea coming on) if I talk myself inyo popping for the stuff I'll just give them a call and ask.

the 32 oz. Moose Wax into a 16 oz. of Moose and Van. Moose. If I remember, the pkg. I got was not listed on the site, there are 3 pkgs. the two you see on the site and one other he had been offering at car shows the ClearKote folks attend.

I called to phone number on the website and talked to Mr. Glass, I think, to order a 16 oz. of the Van. Moose and Moose Wax and a gallon of the QuikShine. The combined price was like 7 or 8 bucks short of the show pkg, so I went ahead and ordered that instead.

BTW- The QuikShine has kept the car feeling like I just waxed it. I did the wax combo last wed.(1/29) the finish is still amazingly slick and deeply reflective.

Also-lack of a static cling is good-I work in a dusty area and my car is usually covered in a light coating of a fine dust when I leave work-now a lot of it (70-80%) blows off after I drive off...

I really like this stuff! :xyxthumbs

Guys,

I am sold on using S100 as a topper on my black A8 and MDX, with Klasse & SG beneath. I am intrigued by the ClearkoteQuikShine, as well as wondering how the MooseWax and Vanilla Moose compare.

Scottwax, I admire your work from the pics of cars you've done with S100. I saw your BMW picture with Moose wax. What is your opinion of the 2?

Thanks,

Sam-

I think they are pretty close in appearance. Moose Wax seems to look a little wetter and S100 has a little more gloss, if that makes sense. I'd give the ease of use edge to S100 Paste over Moose Wax (liquid) since you only have to dab the applicator into the S100 while you actually have to squirt the Moose Wax onto the applicator. Other than that, both are easy on, easy off.

Both look outstanding on metallics.

Have you ever done any experiments with the ratio of distilled H2O to Clearkote Quik Shine when you mixed the gallon size order? For example add less water than specified to create a different performing QD?:bounce

Nope, haven't done that. I figure Mr. Glass has tested Quikshine in numerous concentrations and has come up with what he feels works the best. Maybe if we get a vendors forum up and running, it is something he could address.

Interesting idea though, especially since it is the only QD I know of that is available in a concentrated form.

 Which product? What drive? I know you didn't drive from Nevada to Arlington!

The Vanilla moose and quick shine. I already have a few different types of waxes lying around, so I didn't get any. I'll wait untill I run out, which won't be for awhile.

I live on the southern tip of Garland, so its really not far. Basically a strait shot on I-30. I made sure I wen't when the traffic would be down. Still managed to hit some right after Dallas though. Even with the light traffic, I got there alot faster than I expected.

Ah, I mistook the neva neva land under your user name to mean Nevada.

Did you buy a wing and some altezzas for your car while you were there? How many bottles of Vanilla Moose are left? I may go grab a couple more while they have them in stock.

I was overwhelmed by rice! Actually, I had prepared myself before I went in. So it wasn't too bad.

Plenty of Vanilla Moose. 8 or 9 bottles maybe:nixweiss
