Clearkote carnuba questions...

what are the differences with the Vanilla Glaze and Danase Glazes? God I hope they work better and smell at least tolerable.

thanks again

The Danase glaze is an acrylic, so it will play nice with sealants being placed over it. The Vanilla isn't, so you will have bonding issues with some sealants. If you are waxing over them, it doesn't matter.

Sounds like the Danase glaze is a better universal glaze for sealant and wax vs the VMG?

So I am totally confused here. Pink Moose Wax = ???? as a LSP ???? Yellow Cream is for ???? Yellow Moose is for ??????? I know what RMG will do!!!!!

No such thing as pink moose wax. It's just "pink moose," coined by Scottwax for mixing equal parts of RMG and VMG. The "moose wax" is a cleaner wax. The "Carnauba moose wax" is a quality liquid wax with no chemical cleaners or abrasives.

Only products worth buying from Clearkote (imo of course) are:

Carnauba moose wax

Quik Shine

Vanille Moose Glaze

Red Moose Glaze

I'd include the Compound Moose too, because it is truly outstanding.

I noticed that the ClearKote site has a Pink Moose package that has RMG and VMG and an empty bottle!

Scottwax, are you getting any residuals from the sales?

would pink moose remove light swirls then ?

im thinking of going pink moose n then finish it off with opti-seal

how does that sound ?

I wish. I do get to test stuff for Clearkote from time to time though, and those products don't cost me anything.

The main benefit I get when Clearkote does well is that they stay in business and I can continue to use their products.

The reason "pink moose" doesn't come already blended is because not everyone uses it mixed 50/50. Lately, I've been using about 75% RMG to 25% VM for the added depth.

It will remove "light" (emphasis on "light") swirls by machine but if you have heavier swirls you should use a polish first.

I've never used Opti-Seal directly over PM, so I can't comment on how that works. I have used Opti-Seal over well cured (a few weeks and washes) Carnauba Moose with excellent results though.

I was under the impression that the pink moose is sufficient n can be the last stage.

correct me if im wrong,

so it is better to finish it off with a proper wax, such as the carnuaba moose after the pink moose step right ? or can I just leave it as it is after the pink moose step ? that will be durable n shiny to some extent i assume ?

i will be doing all these by hand, so yeah i hope the pink moose is good enough to remove some light swirls...:)

Vanilla, red, pink mooses are essentially glazes. You'll need a LSP to finish off.

Vanilla moose by itself has better corrective ability than pink.

Scott,

I currently use JW Prime and then Opti-seal. I'm intrigued by the Carnooba Moose. Would I use Carnooba Moose and maybe pink Moose after Prime and before Opti-seal? Could I replace Prime with Pink Moose?

My car is silver....so how would my look change by adding in Carnooba Moose?

Thanks!

I'd use Pink Moose OR Werkstatt Prime followed by Carnauba Moose, then the next time you wash the car, seal it in with a couple applications (to ensure complete coverage) of Opti-Seal.

Carnauba Moose will add depth to any color, even looks good on white paint.

What about using OCW instead of Carnooba Moose....will this also give more depth?

Will both OCW or Carnooba Moose give my silver a sligthly darker look? I like how Opti-seal gives my silver a slightly darker appearance.

Thanks again...Great input!
