Clearcoat dulled

My friend's black VW clearcoat became dull after using a rubbing compound to remove big scratches. What's the right product to restore the clearcoat? He's sure the clearcoat is still there. The pad didn't have any black paint after he was done using the compound.

Hazing is common when using a rubbing compound. Try Megs SFP or Clearkotes VM polish.

I would start buy using products like Poorboy's SSR line. Start with SSR3 then SSR2 then SSR1 and finish with a top coat of wax.
