Clear up a little confusion?

Hey guys. First Post.

I always liked cleaning cars, and find much joy in it.

But I've always just washed the car, and then put on some wax.

I have some swirl marks on my car, and figured I'm going to go hardcore now, therefor I have been lurking on autopia for sometime now, trying to learn everything. Tonight I put in an order for my PC 7424.

I was just wondering though, how do most of you guys clean you cars?

I see a lot of comparisons between NXT and Zaino. But isn't Zaino a polisher, and NXT a wax?

Do most of you guys go by those steps ... polish then wax?

Or what?

Any clearing up of my confusion, greatly appreciated.:xyxthumbs

Both Zaino and NXT are technically "polymer sealants" but are marketed as polish and wax to the mass market.

And yes, you are right with your steps...polish then wax.

Have fun and remember to enjoy your detailing...

Just remember the basic steps of car detailing:

1. Wash

2. Clay

3. Polish

4. Protect

5. Everything Else (wheels, tires, interior, etc)

If you want your car to always look killer you will need a system/process/plan to use so you don't get off track or frustrated. Also breaking down the job into simple steps makes it less overwhelming and easier to accomplish.
