Clear Kote's Quik Shine

QS is one of my very favorites. It's a toss-up between it and Adam's for best versatility. I think Adam's is slightly more slick and cleans better, but QS is nice because it repels dust (somewhat) and can also be used over anything. I use QS over a freshly waxed/sealed finish for touch-up and Adam's after washing or when dust is slightly greater.

I will say that I am more prone to get streaks with QS than Adam's, though.

Great stuff, I ordered a case of 4 x 1 gallon's

You can water it down with purified water to make it last longer

I love using it after each machine buffing step with a monster fluffy or pakshak and clearkote MF's to enhance wetness and depth

After 4-6 steps and using VM /RMG for the last two, the paint is unreal.

Glass - yes it is amazing and as I have posted many times, mix with DP gloss booster for even better result

All credit must go to everett at CK for a brilliant product

I must agree that Quik Shine is an excellent QD. On the other hand, at (my cost) $48.00 per gallon is is WAY over priced. I admit that you can save on shipping costs by buying a lot of this stuff, but a lot of amateurs like me, don't need and couldn't use four gallons in my lifetime.

There are many lower-cost alternatives. At the "gallon" level look at Macguires, 3M and Poorboy.

Nope, won't touch the meg's or 3M

3M's has alcohol which strips sealants

I pay distributor pricing for CK

Just received my quart of QS. When some of you talk about "diluting", how much do you dilute it, if you're going to be using on a clean, washed/waxed vehicle? Thanks!

You can get a gallon of Meguiar's #34 Final Inspection HERE for $19.99 a gallon plus shipping. Many people love it and I think it's very good QD.

I'm a huge fan of QS not to mention the old school Meguiar's Final Detail that I have hoarded in the gallons! I have tried Poorboy's S&W the last three details and really like it too. I use it on the inside and outside of the windows and it comes out streak free.

Hmm..I'm on the fence again then, when I need to order more QD, I need to decide between QS or FK #425.

I agree with SVR, QS is definitely a nice way to remove any dust you get between buffing steps.

Thanks Scottwax, I am amazed that an autopian legend would agree with me, I don't know that much
