clear coat pealing

i have a small spot about the size io a fifty cent piece and its the clearcoat coming off.i masked off the spot to reseal my door trim and when i removed the tape it came off.i'm thinking about the clearcoat touchup paint i've found on google.yes or no?

Yikes, sorry to hear that. I wouldn't call an area the size of a fifty cent piece *small* by any means



I doubt if the clear touchup will work out all that well or that it'll be a very permanent fix. The area in question was probably improperly repainted and IMO sooner or later it'll require professional refinishing.



But the DIY might improve things a bit and might also retard the spreading of the peeling.

tried pics but you can't really see it with my camara'going to try the clearcoat touchup'hopfully it'll last till i trade it down the road.thanks
